For consignment let’s talk BIG and TALL. But we will back it up with this consignment, which is a showroom new condition 2012 Ford XLT F250 Lariat Super Cab Powerstroke diesel. Plenty of room in the bed for anything, and plenty of room in the interior with room for 5. Four doors for easy access, 4×4 capabilities, lifted to the moon, a mere title verified 13,001 miles and all in beautiful Vermillion Red. Also, not to forget, this is a never in foul weather truck, an undercarriage that is as clean as a whistle, and with power swing down running boards, it’s all there and working like a charm.

Exterior
You know you are dealing with a big 4×4 when you need to get one a ladder to look under the hood! From its pristine front grille all in chrome, to the massive bumper below complete with inset fog lights, to its Vermillion trimmed wheel wells, big rear-view mirrors and top of cab lighting, we could almost be climbing into a big rig. All straight as laser steel, well minded gaps, tinted glass, power folding running boards, and nice badging all correct, this all resides within a Vermillion Red painted background. The paint is like new as would be expected with such a low mileage well-kept rig. In back, the large short bed is slathered in the factory paint which presents as excellent. The tailgate has lining so underneath the original metal remains pristine and holds a handle to help step from your ladder into the bed. Highly polished 22-inch BMF wheels are wrapped in like new 37×13.50R22LT Toyo Open Country knobby off-road rubber. Now that’s a big deal!

Interior
A swing of any of the full-sized doors and we have full access to the crew cab. Gray molded panels cover the doors and are very clean. On the driver’s door are power window toggles, a lock switch, and a mirror adjustment switch and a power mirror switch. Seating is all covered in black leather, heated and cooled buckets in front and a bench shows in the rear, all with virtually no wear. In the center is a massive black and gray console complete with cup holders, a storage bin with padded topper and the dash is in factory original condition with black faced, white lettered gauges and a violet backlighting. A burled walnut center backdrop houses the digital climate control, seat heat and cooling controls, trailer brake controls and the AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth/Backup Camera/Navi system with Sync and Sirius connectivity if you get the subscription. The factory air bag equipped wheel is wrapped in leather and has buttons for the cruise and radio controls. Like new black carpeting floods the floors and is protected by all-weather black rubber floor mats. Hanging tightly above and highlighting the power sliding moonroof is a black felted headliner.

Drivetrain
Grabbing out the 6′ ladder, we lifted the hood to reveal a monster 6.7 Liter diesel burning Powerstroke which puts out 400 horses and a massive 800lbft of torque is fed through electronic fuel injection. A Torqueshift 6-speed automatic transmission can power all 4 wheels as it sends power to both pumpkins, with a 3.55 limited slip ratio. All this is near showroom new with only a slight dusting of pollen and as an added bonus, this engine is capable of running on not only diesel but also B20 biodiesel.

Undercarriage
Amazingly there is absolutely no road dirt on the undercarriage, just straight rust-free black steel making up the solid framework and steel floor pans. A sky-high lift kit has been installed to the coil spring front and leaf spring rear suspension. While our consignor has no information on the size or brand of lift, however we note added rear traction bars and an aftermarket front steering stabilizer setup. Power disc brakes are seen all around along with power steering and the factory installed single exhaust system.

Drive-Ability
This powerful turbo diesel fired right up, and we climbed aboard with some assistance of a ladder and the snappy swing down running boards and it was off to the test track. Here we put it through its paces and found no problems with solid acceleration, bias free fantastic braking, and steering was nice and tight. We turned the dial into 4-wheel drive and were going to climb up the Classic Auto Mall building but then thought the better of it. The 4WD system worked flawlessly just like everything else on this truck.

Sitting high and mighty gives one a feeling of power, and when you press the diesel pedal it gives a quick response. This truck will not break the land speed record, or smoke the quarter mile, but then if you want that you’d look at a muscle car! If you want hauling and towing power, and the ability to go anywhere in a nearly new 10 year old lifted rig, then take a serious look at this very clean Ford F250 Lariat Crew Cab Turbo Diesel 4×4.
